TV IDENTS
SOCIAL MEDIA CELEBRITIES
For this brief, I had to develop a concept for a new documentary TV channel and produce a series of static ‘ident’ screens that can be broadcast between programmes to reinforce the identity of the channel. The TV ident screens had to meet the technical specifications of full HD (1080p) broadcast and were required to include vector graphics, digital images and typography.

I chose to create idents for a documentary for teenagers (14-20 years) called 'Social Media Celebrities' which details the lives of the emerging celebrities from social media such as Youtube and Instagram.

I have produced simple and effective ident screens that are clearly created for the target audience (14-20 years) with a playful colour palette and typography. I have put a lot of thought into my designs having incorporated a variety of features to reinforce the documentaries agenda. For example, I have added icons such as the mouse button to replace the 'A' and the play button to replace the 'O' signifying the online environment the documentary explores. In addition, the logo also effectively connotes a speech bubble (an icon used heavily on social media) and I made use drop shadows to make elements of the logo look 'clickable'.

To create the banners I used Adobe Illustrator for the vector graphics, Photoshop to edit images and Indesign to bring all elements together.

I received an overall grade of 68% for my work.

Thank you for your time and please appreciate the project!
